There's Always A Story Right...
I had my gym, Nirvana GYM, from 2015 – 2019, but had to close it for a few reasons. Some were personal and some were professional. While I was operating the gym, people used the gym as an excuse to get their one workout/yoga session in for the week but weren’t adapting it as a lifestyle. And because of that, it was no longer serving its purpose. At the same time, I realized that my true passion wasn’t teaching people workouts and yoga poses but actually helping them establish a life of fulfillment, and nutrition, fitness, yoga, and meditation were just aspects of how to do that. Naturally, after operating a business for a few years, I was in a bit of a funk because that was my baby! But in a way, I was relieved because I finally got to practice what I preached. I didn’t have time to work out when I was running the gym, and truth be told, I did, but I used my members as an excuse, to not do the work. That never sat well with me, and finally, I was able to practice what I preach. So I start documenting my progress and started interviewing my gym members to see what they were hung upon. And it became clear to me that, that are prerequisites to living a healthy lifestyle before exercising and eating healthy. I was able to do amazing things during the pandemic, including losing 46 lbs, going on a 7 day prolonged fast, and doing cold-water plunges in the colorado river for up to 30 minutes. Now I’m not saying that’s what anyone goals should be, but I was really able to develop mental toughness! Every time I followed this framework I succeeded and became addicted to success and every time I did not, I lost momentum and struggled with stress and anxiety. I was able to transform my mindset to enjoy doing challenges instead of viewing them as burdens. So I wanted to share my framework on how, you too can live a life of fulfillment by implementing these prerequisites to living a life of joy, peace, and fulfillment!
